Eager voters cast ballots
Registrar now open for Nov. 4 election

In 2000, with an out-of-country trip planned on Election Day, Terry and Christi McCabe headed to the Registrar of Voters Office a week before the election to cast their ballots early for president. When they arrived, the line of voters stretched several hundred yards all the way to the street. They didn't have the time to wait and never got to vote in the election between Al Gore and George W. Bush – a huge regret for them.

Five bodies were found in Tijuana over the past few days, as drug-gang violence continued to rack the city.
The bodies were found between Saturday evening and yesterday morning, adding to a death toll of several dozen in little more than a week, the Baja California Attorney General's Office said.
Hotel, travel company help lesbian couples get hitched
Friday was a marathon wedding day for about 200 brides – with nary a bridegroom in sight. The women from across the United States gathered in San Diego to take advantage of the California Supreme Court ruling that allows gay and lesbian couples to wed. They said their “I do's” at the Hard Rock Hotel downtown.
