The San Diego Union-Tribune

Photo: Chargers brought down to earth

October 6, 2008

SEAN M. HAFFEY / Union-Tribune
Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers had a tough day in south Florida, completing just 13-of-28 passes for 159 yards in yesterday's loss to the Dolphins. Rivers was sacked in the third quarter by Miami's Vonnie Holliday.

GAME SUMMARY: After another weak first-half effort, the Chargers fail to rally and fall to 2-3 on the season. Sports, D1

NICK CANEPA: It simply was one of their worst overall efforts in years. We have a genuine enigma on our hands. Sports, D1

OUT OF TIME: Starting out flat and playing catch-up seems to be catching up with the Chargers. Sports, D6
