Save it! Tips for spending less and living better

Swap out your old, inefficient shower head for a new low-flow 2-gallons-per-minute model from any home-improvement store and save 7,300 gallons of water a year, not to mention the energy saved to heat it. That equals about $120 more in your bank account each year, Good Housekeeping says, if each member in a family of four takes one 10-minute shower a day.
