The following information can help you enjoy the air show and avoid hassles and delays:

RESTRICTIONS

All bags will be inspected at all entries to the flight line. All individuals are subject to search.

Smoking is not permitted near aircraft or in hangars, including the Consumer Fair.

The following items will not be permitted on the flight line and are subject to confiscation:

Weapons, including firearms, knives (includes pocket knives and multitools), replica or toy weapons, pepper spray, stun guns.

Ice chests or coolers larger than 2 gallons.

Pets, other than service animals.

Bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, scooters or skateboards. (Bikes may be secured outside the flight line gates. Helmets are required on base.)

Backpacks or bags larger than 8½ inches by 11 inches. (Unattended bags and packages will be removed from the premises.)

Also:

Alcoholic beverages may not be brought in, but may be purchased at the air show. No glass containers of any kind are allowed.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Wear comfortable shoes and bring sun protection. Umbrellas are allowed, but not tents or awnings.

Water will be available throughout the show area.

Neither strollers nor wheelchairs will be for rent.

ENTRY AND PARKING

General (free) admission; grandstand and box-seat ticket holders: Use the North, East/Main or West gates and follow directions.

Chalet ticket holders only: Preferred parking will be accessed through the South Gate off the Harris Plant Road exit of Kearny Villa Road. You cannot access the preferred parking areas from the North, East/Main or West gates.

Handicapped parking: Use either the West Gate or North Gate.

Preferred parking: Requires special passes; it is accessible from Harris Plant Road off Kearny Villa Road. Pass holders will be directed to the gate.

Bicycle Pavilion (BPP): Located near flight line Air Show Entry Gate No. 2. Bicyclists are encouraged, and may enter any of the three base gates and follow directional signs to the BPP. Helmets are mandatory.

GATE AND ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION

A section of Kearny Villa Road from Miramar Road to Harris Plant Road will be closed to motor vehicle and bicycle traffic from noon until 4 p.m., or until the Blue Angels' performance is over.
