After losing three sports tenants in the past 19 months, the former Sports Arena on Sports Arena Boulevard is no longer home for what used to be its main attraction: sports.

The Major Indoor Soccer League's Sockers left in December 2004, followed by arenafootball2's Riptide in October and the minor league hockey Gulls on Thursday. That raises questions about the building's future as the 40th anniversary of its opening approaches in November.
