SAN DIEGO
–
The public can weigh in on the state of parking downtown at a meeting tomorrow hosted by the city's downtown redevelopment division.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the San Diego Civic Center Concourse's Silver Room, 202 C St.
A consultant hired by the Centre City Development Corp. is completing recommendations for how to improve crowded parking downtown. Draft recommendations include raising parking meter rates, extending hours that meters are enforced and using private garages at night for public parking.
Community comment from the workshop will be considered in the consultant's final report.
